Mrs. Kate Anderson
Music Director/Conductor/Educator
Notes from the Director:
Mrs. Kathleen Anderson has been the TMHS Music Director/Educator for the past 7 years. Mrs. Anderson studied violin and music education at the University of Connecticut and earned her Masters of Arts in Education, Multiple Intelligences Theory Concentration from the University of Saint Joseph. She taught pre-k thru 8th grade music, band, and chorus at several parochial schools for the 10 years prior to her tenure at Tourtellotte. Under her direction, Mrs. Anderson has lead the music department to Platinum & High Gold Ratings at numerous Music Festivals, Increased our ensembles' membership numbers continuously each school year, and provided our school, local, and regional community with over 20 musical performances from our wonderfully talented performance ensembles including Modern Music, National Anthem Singers, Concert Band, & Concert Choir last school year ALONE! Mrs. Anderson also conducts the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Youth Orchestra!
